It was a pleasure to meet with the team from Parkinson's UK at the Kingsknowes Hotel in Galashiels recently.
I learned about the incredible support they offer to local people.
The group meets at the Kingsknowes Hotel on the second Wednesday of the month from 11am to 1pm, the fourth Wednesday of the month from 6pm to 8pm, and the last Monday of the month from 2pm to 4pm.
It also meets in Kelso at the Mayfield Garden Centre on the third Thursday of the month from 1.30pm to 3pm.
They offer a huge helping hand to people suffering this terrible condition and their families.
I hope everyone affected by this disease knows there is support available in the Borders if they need it.
The help on offer from local volunteers is outstanding.
