John Lamont has visited the Royal Mail Delivery Office in Coldstream to wish the staff there luck ahead of the Christmas rush.
The next two weeks until Christmas will be the busiest time of year for the team, with many delivery offices staying open late to deal with increased influx of letters and parcels.
During his visit John met the staff who will be taking on the extra work over the next few weeks, and thanked them for their efforts.
John Lamont MSP said:
“It is the busiest time of year for the staff at Coldstream Delivery Office and I wanted to thank them for their hard work not only at Christmas but throughout the year.
“At this time of year, while we get a chance to relax, the Royal Mail staff will be working flat out to make sure presents and cards arrive on time.
“They will be delivering my Christmas Cards and 2017 Calendar this year so it was great to get a chance to thank them for all their hard work as without it, Christmas would simply not be the same."
