Labour should abandon Family Farm Tax

I recently met with the National Farmers Union Scotland (NFUS) to discuss the challenges facing the industry.

Alongside Rachael Hamilton MSP, I visited Ruletownhead Farm near Bonchester Bridge.

Thank you to the Douglas family and NFU Scotland for meeting with us to speak about the immense challenges facing small businesses.

Farmers put food on shop shelves and they are the backbone of our food and drink industry, yet they are not getting anywhere near the support from either the Scottish or UK government that they require.

The Family Farm Tax is putting jobs and small businesses at risk. The Labour government should abandon it.
