Local MSP John Lamont has launched his new website, which aims to provide constituents with even greater access and information about their MSP.
As well as up to date news and information about weekly surgeries, the new site also physically maps out all the content of the site so that constituents can see what their MSP has been up to in their local area. The site also integrates all of John’s social media content to provide users with the very latest commentary and information.
In August of last year, John held his 1,000th advice surgery with the pledge to continue as Scotland’s most accessible MSP. This new website seeks to provide constituents with as much information as possible.
Commenting, John Lamont MSP said: “I have always believed that an important part of my job is to be as accessible as possible to my constituents. I take pride in the fact that I’ve held more than 1,000 advice surgeries and helped out thousands of constituents but I’m aware that politicians can always do more to make themselves available to those they represent.
“While attending events, holding surgeries and having an office in Hawick are really important, increasingly people want to access information online.
“I’m really excited about my new site, which is really easy to use and provides people with a really clear way to see how I go about representing them.
“My new site also lists my priorities, which are based on the many conversations I have with residents. If you think I’ve missed anything out, please get in touch"
