I recently welcomed Hattie the Coldstream Medical Practice therapy dog to the House of Commons.
Hattie joined Yvonne Archibald, the practice manager at the GP surgery, as they were commended in the UK Parliament.
The 'therapet' previously attended a Number 10 Downing Street reception with staff from the medical practice who were being recognised as local healthcare champions to mark the 75th anniversary of the NHS.
I was delighted to welcome Hattie and Yvonne to the UK Parliament recently and commend their excellent work in the House of Commons.
I regularly hear from local residents about the fantastic standard of care they receive from the surgery and the help that Hattie provides to patients and staff.
Hattie is also now a firm favourite in the House of Commons. For a rare moment, she managed to unite politicians from across the chamber.
