Borders MP John Lamont has shown his support for Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal after attending a special event in Parliament to mark the launch of this year’s campaign.
The MP joined supporters of the charity in Westminster to show his backing for the annual appeal, which raises awareness and vital funds for Marie Curie nurses who provide care and support to people living with terminal illness and their families. The event was also attended by Gavin and Stacey star Alison Steadman, who is a patron of the charity.
Borders MP John Lamont MP said: "Marie Curie does incredible work supporting people and their families at the most difficult time in their lives.
"The Great Daffodil Appeal is an important opportunity to raise funds and awareness so that more people can receive the care and compassion they need.
"It is fantastic to see so many people showing their support for Marie Curie, and I encourage everyone to do their bit to support people living with a terminal illness."
