Local MSP John Lamont attended a really busy Coldstream Macmillan Cancer Support’s Charity Fair over the weekend.
Put on by local volunteers to raise funds for supporting patients and families with cancer diagnosis, the event offered coffee, cakes, a raffle and bric-a-brac to a packed Coldstream Community Centre.
Speaking afterwards, John Lamont MSP said: “All the volunteers did a really great job getting the hall all kitted out and arranging the charity fair.
“It was really well attended, with loads to do and it was great to see the Community Centre full to bursting for the morning.
“Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer and this is a chance for the community to come together and do what we can to fight back. Macmillan does some really great work supporting patients and families with a cancer diagnosis, ensuring that people do not face cancer alone.”
