It has been announced that beds at the community hospitals in Hawick, Duns and Kelso may be closed from next month.
These hospitals provide vital services to the local community, particularly for elderly patients.
The Borders General is already extremely busy and these closures would make it impossible for many people to access the treatments and services that they need.
